Promotion Rules
- A Student will be declared 'Passed' if he/she gets a Grade higher than E1 in all the subjects.
- The students of Class IX who have obtained the grade E1/E2 in one or more subjects may be allowed to improve their performance in SA2 through subsequent attempt and such students will not be promoted to Class X till they improve their performance.
- It is mandatory for the students to appear in SA1 & SA2.
- In Std.IX & X, if a student secures grade points in the range 40-52 in co-scholastic areas,his grade in one academic subject will be upscaled to the next higher grade. If he secures grade points in the range 53-65 this benifit will be extended to two academic subjects,starting with the subject in which he has secured the lowest grade.The upscaled grades will be marked with an asterisk in the report book.
- For classes IX & X students would have to obtain atleast 25% marks in the Summative Assesment (both the SA1 and SA2 taken together) and a total of 33% in each of the five subjects of scholastic area to be eligible to qualify the examination
- In Std.XI a student must secure 33% in all subject in order to be promoted to std.XII. In Science subjects it is necessary to obtain 33% in theory as well as in practicals.

Part 2: Co-Scholastic areas (VI - X)
Evaluation of this area deals with the collection of evidences regarding changes which occur in the learner's behaviour during the teaching - learning process. Based on these evidences, interpretation and judgement, the progress of the learner is arrived at and the decisions are taken. There will be no written examination as far as co - scholastic area is concerned. teachers in a group will observe the behavioural change in the learner and assign the grades. Part - 2 & Part - 3 will be assessed in 3 point scale.
Continuous Assessment of Co-Scholastic areas - 2-B, 2-C, 2-D, 3-A, & B
For classes VI - X
(These students will be evaluated in 3 point scale)
There will be 3 Subjects - Work experience, Art education, Attitudes, Values
& Physical Health Education.
The weightage is given in Table - 8 below.

PROMOTION RULES
- A student will be declared having passed if he/she gets a grade higher that E1

OR
Those candidates who obtain qualifying grades (D and above) in all the subjects excluding Additional subject as per scheme of Studies shall be awarded
a Qualifying Certificate . (29th Spetember, 2009 , Circular No. 40/29-09-2009, CBSE)
- The Students of class IX who have obtained Grade 'E1' or 'E2' in one or more subjects excluding additional subject may be allowed to improve their performance
in 2nd Summative assessment through subsequent ONE ATTEMPT and such students would not be eligible to getting admission in class X
till they improve their performance or getting D Grade in the subject.Circular No. 11(A)/2010, Dates - 03-04-10.
- A child has to obtain atleast 25% marks in SA1 & SA2 taken together to be eligible to qualify the examination in class IX & X, that is, at least 15 marks
out of 60 marks and total 33% in aggregate in each subject of scholastic area.
- It is mandatory for the students to appear in the summative tests arranged by the school. a student cannot claim for promotion without attending both the summative tests.
- It is also mandatory to appear in all the four formative tests to be eligible for promotion to next higher class.
- In case a student remains absent on account of sickness, the school may arrange an alternative test after recieveing the valid medical certificate/proof from the student.
GENERAL RULES
- An student found to have used unfair means before , during or after the examination, will be awarded zero in that subject.
- Absence without notice and witout valid reason in any examination or part thereof, excludes a student from being promoted to the next higher class.
- Application for verification of marks / grades in exceptional cases in SA-2 may be considered at the discretion of the Head of the school after payment of requisite fee.
In such cases, the applicant should be ready to agree with the vaiation of marks.
- The academic performance of the pupils of classes I - X will be indicated only in grades in all subjects , both Scholastic & Co- Scholastic.
- Minimum of 75% attendence is essential for appearing in the Annual examination. Leave is not counted as "Presence". Students having less that 75% attendence in any class I - X,
will not be allowed to appear in the annual examination except on medical grounds.
- After SA- 1, The progress reports of the students will be sent to the parent/guardian for perusal, signature and return.
- Question papers and answer books will be one and the same in all the examinations for classes I - V. Space will be provided for writing answers.
- Students of class VI onwards will have printed question papers and seperate answer books.
- Appearing in all the formative and summative assessment tests is mandatory.
- The students will not be allowed to leave the examination hall during the examination.
- NO re-test will be conducted for the absentees other than sickness, duly approved and certified by AMA/registered doctor or approved by CBSE.
